Great Mixed Media Spot

Local news tonight reported that there would be a 25-cent increase in
the price of gas over the weekend, and that this was partly due to the
plummeting value of the US dollar around the world.

The dollar's value relative to foreign currency is a total bromide to
the population at large, but the price of gas is paramount, so tying the
latter to the former is a stroke of accidental genius, alerting
thousands of unsuspecting Americans to the precarious state of their
economy.

Someone probably will get horsewhipped for that tip of the hand.

The second blog is easier to follow and understand. The one posted at the top seems more like the same comment but is harder to understand.

In both cases, you are right on target. As the dollar decreases in value it will cost us more and more for anything we buy outside the USA.

Somebody should be holding this administration's feet to the fire and nobody appears to notice.

Thanks for the comment. I was confused about the two blog posts comment until I went there. I posted both of those using the e-mail posting feature. Easy way to shoot out an idea. Just e-mail it to the site. But the first one hadn't showed up the next day, so I did it again. Not the first time that's happened.

I just noticed it happened again using the BlogThis button. Hmmm.
